Homem do saco (Bag man)

The bag man is a popular character used by adults to frighten children and make them obey them in Brazil. According to the legends, the children in the sack the old man carries were those who were without any adults around, in front of their houses or playing in the street. The old man would pick up the child if she left without anyone in the house. In alternative versions of the legend, instead of an old one, the element that carried the children was a gypsy, and in remote versions, this old man or the gypsy took the children to his house and made soap and buttons with them
